Double Your Impact! The Laughlin Family Foundation Launches 4th Annual Giving Tuesday Fundraising Campaign

The Laughlin Family Foundation launches 4th annual Giving Tuesday campaign to help support and sponsor cancer patients and their families throughout the greater Annapolis area during the holiday season
It’s time to Double Your Impact during this year's Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign, where every dollar up to $10,000 will be matched thanks to the generosity of a team of sponsors. Any gift made during the week long fundraising campaign will be matched dollar for dollar. A portion of funds raised will be used to support and sponsor cancer patients and their families this holiday season. This year’s goal is to support over 20 families throughout the DMV and raise over $20,000. Gifts made during this campaign will help to purchase wish list gifts, meals, gift and gas card, wrapping, and other goods and services based on individual and family needs and wishes.
Fundraising initiatives will include direct donations and a special online auction featuring one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia and experiences, which will run from Monday December 2nd until Monday December 9th, 2024. The auction can be viewed here. New this year will also be limited edition Laughlin Family Foundation merchandise, which will be available for pre-order only until Monday December 9th.
“The holiday season is all about family, and we understand all too well the extra stain a cancer diagnosis can put on patients and their families, especially during the holidays. . We hope that our partnership with various hospitals and organizations throughout the greater Annapolis area can help those who are going through a difficult time and make things a little easier for them…and help provide a little hope, and put a smile on faces of those who need it, “ said Linda Laughlin, CEO of The Laughlin Family Foundation. “And we certainly could not do this without the generous support of our amazing team of sponsors who have agreed to come on board and support this initiative.”
This is the 4th annual Giving Tuesday that the Laughlin Family Foundation has participated in. To date, the foundation has helped over 45 patients and their families who were either actively going through cancer treatment, or families who had lost a loved one to cancer. Support has included shopping for special holiday wish list items, sending holiday meals to families, providing grocery gift cards for holiday shopping, gas cards to help travel to and from appointments, as well as make-a-wish meet and greets and experiences.
