The Laughlin Family Foundation Partners with Pherm Brewing Company to Release “Red Locktober” Red IPA to kick off the NHL Season
Craig Laughlin and The Laughlin Family Foundation team up once again with a local brewery to release a red IPA to support rare cancers research, education, and awareness
Craig Laughlin (Locker) and The Laughlin Family Foundation partner with Pherm Brewing Company in Crofton, Maryland to release Red Locktober to help raise awareness and support for rare cancers. The beer is a 7% red IPA that contains citra, mosaic, simcoe, and motueka - all hops that are commonly found in Locker’s other beer collaborations.
Red Locktober will go on sale Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at Pherm Brewing, with limited quantities of four packs and cases available. Four packs are available for purchase for $21.80, and cases are $130.80 (tax included). The first 50 cases sold will receive a limited edition Red Locktober glass and signed Craig Laughlin puck. A portion of all beer sales will support The Laughlin Family Foundation.
In addition, The Laughlin Family Foundation will be hosting a beer release party to celebrate this new beer collab, and to kick off the start of the NHL season on Wednesday October 11th at Pherm Brewing from 6pm - 9pm. Fans will have the opportunity to mingle with Locker, talk all things Capitals hockey, and drink and buy Red Loctober red IPA, as well as participate in a live Q and A with the Laughlin’s. The Laughlin Family Foundation will also be doing a raffle and auctions, which will benefit the charity. Dizzy Cow Pizzeria food truck will also be on site during the event. This is Craig’s 3rd beer collaboration with Pherm Brewing, and his 7th beer that he has released to help benefit the foundation. His other beer collabs include Pherm Brewing’s The Hatty and Locktoberfest, Beltway Brewing Company’s Lockerism, Calvert Brewing Company’s Top Shelf, Astrolab’s Wicked Wrister, and Aslin’s Locker18.
