Craig Laughlin and Joe Beninati release Broadcast Bubbly, a limited edition sparkling wine, and are hosting “Bubbly and Bourbon on the Bay” presented by Research Financial Strategies fundraiser
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, April 9, 2024 – Craig Laughlin and Joe Beninati are releasing “Broadcast Bubbly,” their 3rd wine collaboration with 3 Steves Winery to help support rare gynecologic cancers. The bubbly wine is a classic dry brut sparkling, but extremely bright and crisp with inviting notes of citrus, pear, apricots and floral nutty aromas with a hint of the classic toasted brioche found in many champagne style wines. There are only less than 300 bottles of Broadcast Bubbly available, and will only be exclusively available at the official Broadcast Bubbly launch party, Bubbly and Bourbon on the Bay Presented by Research Financial Strategies on Saturday May 18th in Annapolis, Md.
Bubbly and Bourbon on the Bay - Craig Laughlin and Joe Beninati are hosting the official Broadcast Bubbly wine party, Bubbly and Bourbon on the Bay, on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 5:30-9pm at a private residence in Annapolis, MD with views of the Chesapeake Bay. The special evening will feature Laughlin, Beninati, their new wine, as well as a tasting of Craig's special limited edition Makers Mark bourbon. The cocktail style party will also have dinner, live music and entertainment, a live and silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind signed sports memorabilia, an opportunity to mingle with Washington Capitals Alumni, staff, and other local sports personalities, all with amazing views of the Chesapeake Bay at sunset. Due to the private and intimate venue, only 100 tickets are available. Bubbly and Bourbon on the Bay sponsorships and tickets start at $500.00 and can be purchased here.
This is the 3rd year that the foundation has partnered with Steve Ziganti from 3Steves Winery (Livermore, CA) to help “Bottle Up” rare gynecologic cancers through the release of these special limited edition wines. Broadcast Bubbly is the third wine in the Broadcast Wine Collection, which now joins Broadcast Blend (Cabernet) and Broadcast Blanc (Chardonnay). The inspiration behind the collection began in 2022, when Joe B and Locker celebrated 25 seasons of broadcasting Capitals games together and released the commemorative Broadcast Blend. Due to the incredible interest in the wine and support from various sponsors, donors, and members of the DMV community, our “Bottle Up Cancer” events to date have helped us raised over $90,000. Proceeds from every bottle of wine in the Broadcast Wine Collection supports our mission and those affected by rare cancers. Limited quantities of Broadcast Blend and Blanc can still be purchased directly from 3Steves Winery, which ships to most locations. You can purchase those wine here.
Funds from our “Bottle Up Cancer” campaign have helped support various research, education, and awareness projects for endometrial cancers, which continue to be severely underfunded. Endometrial cancer is one of the only malignancies in which incidence and mortality are on the rise, and the rare subtypes often leave women with poor prognoses. This is a tremendous public health problem for women worldwide, and one that our foundation is on a mission to support. We want to help save women’s lives, and hope that you will consider joining us to “bottle up” rare gynecologic cancers at our launch party this spring. This year our goal is to raise $50,000 at our Bubbly and Bourbon on the Bay.
