The Laughlin Family Foundation to Host 3rd Annual Golf “Fore!” Rare Cancers Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday September 11th, 2023 at The Crofton Country Club

The Laughlin Family Foundation is hosting its 3rd annual Golf “Fore!” Rare Cancers Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday September 11th at The Crofton Country Club in Crofton, Md.
Due to the incredible support from our sponsors, donors, and members of DMV community, our golf tournament has continued to grow over the last two years and has helped to fund and support rare endometrial cancer research, education, and awareness projects at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Endometrial cancer is one of the only malignancies in which incidence and mortality are on the rise, and the rare subtypes often leave women with poor prognoses. This is a tremendous public heath problem for women worldwide, and one that our foundation is on a mission to support.
We have partnered with Johns Hopkins again this year and funds from the annual golf tournament will support the following gynecologic and endometrial cancer projects: the 2nd ever Endometrial Cancer Symposium, the Center for Rare Gynecologic Cancers, and the Precision Medicine Center of Excellence focused on endometrial cancer, the only center of its kind in the world. We also plan to support a young investigators grant for rare endometrial cancers, as well as additional research programs for endometrial cancer.
We want to help save women’s lives, and hope that you will consider joining us to support rare gynecologic cancers and help make this year’s golf tournament an ever bigger success than last year. Enjoy a round of best ball four person scramble with your friends and favorite local sports celebrities on Monday September 11th, 2023 at The Crofton Country Club. Celebrity list to include: Craig Laughlin, Joe Beninati, Charlie Lindgren, Olie Kolzig, Brent Johnson, Peter Bondra, Bobby Carpenter, Alan May, Karl Alzner, John Walton, Tim Kurkjian, Bruce Boudreau, Ken Sabourin, and more announced soon! Regular foursomes are available for $1,200.00 (4 golfers). Limited quantities of Celebrity foursomes are available for $1,800.00 (3 golfers + an assigned celebrity from the list above). Click here to purchase. Please note that celebrities are assigned at random to celebrity foursomes.
All tickets include 18 holes of golf at the Crofton Country Club, golf cart, breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, drinks, awards and networking reception, and several raffles, prizes, and contests including a chance to win a car on a hole in one sponsored by Prince Frederick Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
This fun day on the course begins at 11am with a shotgun start and is followed by an awards reception with the opportunity to mingle and network with our participating celebrities and sponsors and bid on unique and exclusive auction items and sports memorabilia. Winners of the tournament will also have their names engraved on the “Sunoco Cup,” a replica Stanley Cup, which is awarded to the team with the lowest score.
Awards Reception tickets are also available for purchase for those who wish to just attend the after golf reception. Also new this year is our “Warrior Ticket,”where you can honor and recognize a cancer warrior in your life and attend the awards reception. Tickets can be purchased here.
